Aethra Caldera Suites: is the package or booking it yourself cheaper — and when should you book?

Questions, answered plainly
Is the operator package or booking it yourself cheaper?
It depends on the trip. We total the do-it-yourself route — the hotel through us, the best available scheduled flights, and a transfer estimate — and compare it to the operator package for the same dates and party. Sometimes the package is a few pounds less and includes ATOL protection and transfers; sometimes booking yourself saves more. We show both totals and state the difference plainly.
Are the DIY flights the same as Jet2 or TUI flights?
No. Jet2 and TUI fly their own charter aircraft, which aren't sold outside their packages or available in flight-search systems. The do-it-yourself flight we price is the best available scheduled carrier — British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair and similar — which is what you would actually book yourself.
Is booking it yourself ATOL-protected?
Usually not. An operator package bundles ATOL financial protection and resort transfers into one price. If you book the hotel and flights separately you are generally not ATOL-protected and you arrange your own transfer. We state this next to any price gap so the comparison is honest.
When is the best time to book?
We track the nightly price of each watched stay and the standard flight route daily, and report the trajectory so far. Early on we show the data without a firm call; as the history matures the read sharpens. We never invent certainty we haven't earned.
