The Algarve, and the rest of a country worth the flight
Two and a half hours from the UK and you are on the Algarve — honey-coloured cliffs, calm coves, and resort towns each with their own feeling: lively Albufeira, the marina and golf of Vilamoura, the cliff coves of Carvoeiro, the wide beaches of Lagos and Alvor. Beyond it, Madeira brings year-round spring and clifftop pools, Porto the tiled riverfront city break, and the Cascais coast an elegant day-trip from Lisbon.
Real hotels, real reviews, honest pricing
We list only the hotels the operators actually package — TUI, Jet2 and Thomas Cook — so you can hold their price against a do-it-yourself total of the same hotel plus live flights from your nearest UK airport. The Algarve is sold by all three; Porto by TUI and Thomas Cook; Madeira by TUI and Jet2; the Lisbon coast by Thomas Cook today, and growing. No invented 'from' prices, no thin pages — just the hotels worth your week and the right moment to book.
Good to know
Common questions.
When is the best time for an Algarve holiday?
May to October for reliable beach sun, with July and August the hottest and busiest. June and September give you warm seas and big resorts at lower prices, while the Algarve and Madeira both stay mild and playable right through winter.
Which Algarve resort is best for families?
Albufeira, Vilamoura and Alvor are built around large all-inclusive resorts with pools, waterparks and easy beaches. Carvoeiro and Praia da Luz are quieter and prettier for couples and families wanting calm coves.
Does the Portugal list include Madeira, Porto and Lisbon?
Yes. Alongside the Algarve we hold operator-sold four and five-star hotels in Madeira (Funchal, Santa Cruz and Calheta), Porto, and the Lisbon coast — Cascais, Sintra and Lisbon itself — each shown with real photos and an honest all-in comparison.
